Barbour and French house A.P.C have unveiled a capsule collection that was created on the “appreciation for craftsmanship and enduring style”.
The collection is formed of outerwear, denim, knitwear, shirts and accessories. It aims to showcase the “distinctive DNA of both brands while establishing a new dialogue”.
The outerwear designs feature several Barbour jacket styles including the Beaufort for men and the Spey for women. The collection also utilises design elements that are inspired by A.P.C’s denim jackets. It uses functional details such as utility pockets, matching wool collars and removable hoods.
The collection also uses traditional tartan as a lining throughout the range. Beyond its outwear designs the collection features New Standard and Elisabeth jeans, a skirt and totes and caps with reworked graphics.
At the centre of the collaboration is the reintroduction of the premium thornproof wax cotton from Barbour’s archives. The material is crafted from a denser weave and is available in dark sage and dark navy.
The brands said: “Bringing together two brands renowned for their commitment to quality and longevity, the A.P.C. x Barbour collaboration celebrates garments designed not only to be worn, but to evolve over time, becoming more characterful with every season.”
