Danish liquorice brand Lakrids By Bülow has opened its 50th store worldwide at Battersea Power Station in London.
The new shop launched on 15 October on the ground floor of turbine hall A in the shopping centre.
The opening marked a “significant moment” in the brand’s international growth and further strengthened its presence in the UK, one of its fastest-growing markets.
The new store brings Lakrids By Bülows’ “distinctive range” of gourmet chocolate-coated liquorice to the retail destination.
Shoppers will be able to browse the retailer’s full product range, including limited edition flavours alongside in-store tastings.
Lakrids By Bülow CEO Fredrik Nilsson said: “Fifty stores is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of, and it feels particularly fitting to celebrate it in London.
“Since landing on UK shores we’ve seen great interest in our approach to liquorice, crafted just outside Copenhagen, and have continued to build our presence across the city.
“Battersea Power Station has become a popular destination for shopping, dining and leisure in London, and its iconic character makes it a natural home for Lakrids By Bülow.”
He continued: “We’re delighted to be opening our doors here, introducing our brand to even more Londoners.
“Lakrids By Bülow was founded with a simple ambition: to make the world love liquorice, and this new store gives us another opportunity to bring that ambition to life.”
Battersea Power Station head of asset management Renee Moran added: “We’re delighted to welcome Lakrids By Bülow to Battersea Power Station as the brand celebrates the opening of its 50th store at our riverside neighbourhood.
“Renowned for their distinctive gourmet liquorice and chocolate, Lakrids By Bülow is a perfect addition to our growing retail lineup, and the new store will provide visitors with another exciting offering to discover when shopping inside the Power Station.”
