Retail Week reported that Hattrell will be joining TDR as a partner from September and will leave eBay after five years at the online marketplace giant.

An eBay spokesman confirmed Hattrell’s departure, saying: “eBay can confirm that Rob Hattrell will leave eBay next month to pursue a new opportunity. Rob led the UK business for three years until 2020 when he took over responsibility for all European markets.

Just this week it was announced that Asda’s current chief customer officer Meghan Farren is leaving the supermarket after less than a year in the post.

Farren left KFC last year to join Asda but will return in the autumn as general manager for the UK and Ireland.
