Jacques Vert appoints new CEO

Fashion retailer Jacques Vert has today announced the appointment of Disney Stores chief Teresa Tideman as its new CEO.

Currently operating as Senior Vice President and Joint Managing Director of Disney Stores Europe, Tideman has extensive experience in merchandising, sales and marketing and has also previously worked at David Jones, Australia‘s second largest department store as well as the Burton Retail Group.

“We are delighted to welcome Teresa to Jacques Vert,” said Ian Johnson, the retailer‘s Finance Director.

“She is joining the Company at a very exciting time and with her impressive career in retail we look forward to her enthusiasm and expertise.”

Jacques Vert merged with Irisa in January in a bid to improve its financial position and currently trades from over 2,000 outlets including concessions and it is hoped that the new appointment with strengthen the senior team as the retailer looks to solidify its position within the growing premium market.

Commenting on her new role, which she will take up in March 2013, Tideman said: “I am very excited to be joining the team and look forward to working with them to grow the business, leveraging its strong brand portfolio.”
