John Lewis has launched MyJL Beauty, a new beauty-focused addition to its My John Lewis membership programme.

The department store said the scheme will give members access to dedicated beauty offers, samples, exclusive products, events and expert content through the My John Lewis app.

As part of the launch, John Lewis will release a MyJL Beauty Edit Box in late May, which will be free for members who spend £200 or more on beauty and scan their My John Lewis card when shopping.

The box, which the retailer said is worth £240, includes products selected by John Lewis beauty buyers, including Medik8 Daily Radiance Vitamin C C-Tetra Cream, Elemis Pro Collagen Energising Marine Cleanser and Laneige Bouncy & Firm Lip Treatment.

Members will also receive personalised offers across beauty brands including La Mer, Liz Earle, Dolce & Gabbana and Bobbi Brown, as well as access to free online samples and in-store pick-up rewards from brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Chanel and Clarins.

The retailer said MyJL Beauty will also include app-based tips and inspiration from John Lewis Partners, seasonal offers, early access to new products and beauty and skincare events later this year.

Members will also be able to enter a monthly “Win Your Wishlist” competition, with the chance to win their beauty wishlist worth up to £500, alongside a £90 Clarins Wellness Rebalancing Massage Treatment voucher.

Existing My John Lewis members will see MyJL Beauty appear in the app when they buy a beauty product and scan their membership card. Customers who have previously purchased a beauty item will have the new beauty section added to their membership automatically.

John Lewis said its 34 beauty halls now include 540 specialist beauty counters, more than 400 beauty services and nearly 70 treatment rooms. Around 1,800 beauty specialists work across its beauty, skincare and fragrance departments.
