Dunelm posts 5.1% rise in Q3 revenue

More good news from Dunelm this morning as the homewares retailer reported on its third quarter trading to March 31.

Dunelm revealed total revenue for the quarter rose by 5.1 per cent to £268.2 million, while total like-for-like revenue grew by 4.6 per cent.

Continuing the positive trend it reported in its first half, Dunelm said its online sales had also performed well, up 35.7 per cent for the third quarter.

“We’ve seen a good sales performance over the quarter, with like-for-like sales of 1.2% in stores and 35.7% online, despite a challenging consumer backdrop,” newly-installed chief executive Nick Wilkinson said this morning.

“Our continuing market share gains in the Homewares category reflect the underlying strength of our brand and operating model, and enhance our position as market leader,” he added.

The results come just a few weeks after Dunelm disposed of its Achicha brand in February and brought on Nick Wilkinson as chief executive.
