Online marketplace eBay has today announced plans to launch a ‘digital pop-up store‘ in collaboration with British designer Henry Holland.

As part of the e-tailer‘s partnership with the British Fashion Council (BFC), which recently announced that Chairman Harold Tillman is to be replaced by Net-a-Porter Founder Natalie Massenet, eBay will offer a collection curated by Holland which will be available online from today until September 18th 2012.

Launched during London Fashion Week (LFW), eBay‘s first ever designer pop-up will also allow fans to watch the House of Holland Spring/Summer 13 catwalk show on its style blog ‘Style Collective‘ as it happen on Saturday September 15th at 6pm.

Commenting on the news, Melanie Smallwood, Head of eBay fashion brands said: “Partnering with the British Fashion Council provides an opportunity to support exciting British fashion talent like Henry Holland and helping them to develop the long-term success of their businesses.”

As a sponsor of the BFC‘s Fashion Forward initiative, a talent support scheme aimed at helping emerging UK designers enter the market, eBay is building on its previous foray into pop-ups, having opened a store on London‘s Dean Street last December.

Holland said of the latest pop-up launch:“This is the first season that eBay are supporting the BFC‘s Fashion Forward initiative and I‘m really excited to be the first designer to open a pop up shop on eBay for the duration of LFW.

“It‘s an all-in-one fashion opportunity with the best of both seasons – shopping Autumn/Winter on eBay and watching Spring/Summer on the eBay fashion blog and House of Holland.‘
