River Island has launched an eBay shop selling pre-loved items as part of its takeback scheme with Reskinned.
The move forms part of the fashion retailer’s Kind Society, which aims to help increase awareness of more sustainable choices in fashion.
The takeback service, which first launched last year, is now available in over 200 River Island stores.
Shoppers are encouraged to bring a minimum of three items from any brand into participating stores or arrange a drop-off online.

Those participating are then offered a £5 gift voucher as a thank you which can be redeemed against a minimum £40 order at River Island stores or online.
Once received, pre-loved items are hand-checked and ozone-cleansed by Reskinned using a zero water, eco-friendly cleaning process.
Through the new partnership with the online giant, customers will now have the opportunity to purchase River Island’s revamped items via the new eBay store.
River Island head of corporate responsibility and sustainability Jose Arguedas said: “This represents a huge step forward in our ongoing efforts to reduce fashion waste.
“We look forward to not only maintaining awareness of recycling clothes with our takeback scheme, but also seeing iconic pieces being brought back to life through a circular fashion economy.”
