Pet care retailer Pets at Home has selected JDA Warehouse Management to support and improve service delivery to its stores and all-channel customers.

The pet firm, which was voted the best big company to work for in the Sunday Times poll this year, provides pet food, pet-related products, accessories and advice through over 350 UK stores.

The retailer‘s dated warehouse management system (WMS), coupled with its recent acquisitions into the equine and veterinary sectors, prompted the decision to improve its WMS to support its continued growth as an all-channel retailer.

“As one of the leading specialty retailers in the UK, we believe it is important to make strategic investments to continue to improve the level of service we provide to our customers,” said Phil Hackney, logistics director, Pets at Home. “The JDA warehouse management system gives us a platform for future growth that will enable us to improve service levels, lower distribution costs and give us the flexibility to integrate any future acquisitions.”

“We are pleased to see Pets at Home select our JDA Warehouse Management solution as an integral component of their service delivery model and growth platform,” said Mark Morgan, regional vice president, EMEA at JDA Software. “Our WMS will enable Pets at Home to meet its go-forward business objectives by enabling greater flexibility as the company grows.”
