Waitrose has announced that Ben Stimson, currently serving on the John Lewis Management Board, will become the company‘s new retail director.

Stimson is to take up his new role 27 March, following the departure of Rob Collins, who will replace current Managing Director Mark Price. Price is set to take on a new role in David Cameron‘s government after serving with the John Lewis Partnership for 33 years.

“Ben is a talented individual who has already made a great contribution to the Partnership,” Collins said. “He‘ll be a terrific retail director and an effective member of the Waitrose management board.”

Stimson began as a management consultant for Sky after graduating in 2001, and after being promoted in 2009 held a number of senior positions at the company. In 2010, he joined the John Lewis Partnership as a senior learner, and went on to hold various executive roles, including Director of Retail Operations in 2013.
