US fashion brand and retailer Guess is opening its first standalone store in Liverpool this spring.

With a shop footprint of 5000sq ft, the new flagship will be located on Paradise Street in the Liverpool One shopping and leisure complex.

The store will be the first in the north west of England – and one of only a handful in the UK – that will stock the complete Guess collection.

“Liverpool One has a reputation for being very fashion forward and at the heart of a city that has a unique sense of style, both of which made it an obvious choice for a Guess flagship,” Guess chief executive Victor Herrero said.

“Confirming that decision was the growth on Paradise Street, where we are joining a collection of complementary brands that marks out Liverpool One as very distinctive, not just in the region, but the UK as a whole.

“I am extremely pleased by our performance in the UK and I am looking forward to further develop the brand with key strategic locations.”

The addition of Guess to Liverpool One follows the opening of other regional flagships such as Jack Victoria‘s Secret, Wolfskin, Lindt, Smiggle and Urban Decay.

In addition, it JD Sports announced plans to double the size of its store on Paradise Street to create a 40,000sq ft regional flagship, while Superdry is relocating to South John Street into a new 10,000sq ft store.

Liverpool One is owned by the Grosvenor Group.
