Popular British active wear retailer Sweaty Betty is moving its European flagship store to 1 Carnaby Street, London.

Located at the south entrance of the famous fashion street, the 2200sq ft corner store replaces an existing store on Beak Street where the sport and fitness apparel brand has been a tenant since 2002.

Sweaty Betty‘s new European flagship will sell its full range of clothing, accessories and equipment collections, as well as housing a studio space for wellness events.

“We are delighted to upgrade our presence in the area and take up such a prominent corner location in this thriving street,” Sweaty Betty owner Simon Hill-Norton said.

Sweaty Betty, which was founded 15 years ago by creative director Tamara Hill-Norton, will join other recent additions in Carnaby including Urban Decay, G.H. Bass and Estee Edit – all of which have also opened their first global or UK flagship store in the area.

Sweaty Betty‘s first store was in Notting Hill, and today it has over 40 boutiques around the UK, 10 in the US and concessions in famous department stores Harrods, Selfridges and Bloomingdale‘s.
