Amazon has laid out its plans to enter the business-to-business marketplace in its latest retail development.

One hundred million products will be available on the marketplace, accompanied by new business features like analytics, spending limits and purchasing workflow approvals.

The Brexit-hit pound has boosted demand for British specialist goods.

Amazon Business will offer many businesses with no international selling capabilities the opportunity to capitalise on its global distribution network.

Retail sales in the business-to-business market topped £96.5 billion in the UK in 2015.

Amazon launched its business offering in the same year in the US and racked up £801 million of sales.
