Ian Durant has been named as the new chairman of furniture retailer DFS.
Durant, who is currently chairman of high street chain Greggs and is a former Home Retail Group non-executive director, will replace Richard Baker who is set to depart after seven years with DFS.
“I am delighted to welcome Ian to the DFS board as chairman,” DFS chief executive Ian Filby said.
“His wealth of relevant experience will help drive us forward and continue the progression from being a great British business to a world-class business.”
Baker is moving on to become chairman of the British Retail Consortium, taking over the helm recently held by John Lewis chairman Sir Charlie Mayfield.
