Frasers Group chief executive Michael Murray revealed that his retail conglomerate has snapped up the leading online platform for luxury global homeware brands, Amara.com.

Amara houses over 300 of the world’s leading home brands, including Versace Home, Ralph Lauren and more.

Last night Murray said: “This acquisition will build on our ambitions to create a credible homeware destination for Flannels.”

The acquisition comes as Ashley’s retail empire continues to expand. It most recently added menswear retailer Gieves & Hawkes to its portfolio alongside fast fashion online specialists Missguided and I Saw It First.
