New Look appoints Espirit’s Paula Dumont Lopez as new CCO

New Look has announced the appointment of Paula Dumont Lopez as chief creative officer, replacing the outgoing veteran Roger Wightman.

Following 27 years at the retailer, Wightman has will depart and take on a part-time consulting position.

His replacement joins from Espirit, where she holds the position of head of womenswear following four years at the fashion brand. She is reported to have been fundamental in the company‘s turnaround.

Prior to her role at Espirit Dumont Lopez worked for Spanish retail giant Inditex for 10 years, culminating in a role as head of product at Zara Basic.

She will be tasked with reinvigorating the brands products, with the brand hoping to return as a fashion authority after declining sales and high-profile departures.

Menswear director Christopher Englinde and director of womens‘ footwear and accessories Amanda Wain recently departed the retailer.
