Debenhams names Sara Bradley as womenswear director

Department store chain Debenhams has hired Sara Bradley to be its new womenswear director.

Bradley, who started with the retailer this week, joins from BHS International where she most recently held the position of consultant brand director.

The announcement comes as high street stalwart continues on the path of a turnaround strategy that includes a shake-up of its senior team and a review its in-house fashion brands.

“I’m really excited to be joining Debenhams because it’s a great British brand with a strong heritage and I believe this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the team at a time of change with the Debenhams redesigned strategy,” Bradley said.

Bradley earlier held positions such as womenswear trading director, clothing trading director and group product director at BHS International, the online-only revival of the collapsed high street chain.

Prior to BHS International, she worked with Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Asda, and Arcadia Group.
