Egyptian luxury jewellery brand Azza Fahmy has signed a deal to open its first UK store in London’s iconic Burlington Arcade.

The brand, which has been worn by numerous celebrities including Rihanna and Naomi Campbell, has agreed to a five-year contract for a ground floor space in the Mayfair arcade.

The new store is set to open its doors in March, counting a raft of luxury retailers including Chanel, La Perla and Mulberry as its neighbours.

“We are really excited to be finally be opening our first UK store in London,” Azza Fahmy’s managing director Fatma Ghaly said.

“We have invested in growing our UK audience and have been looking for the right space for a long time.”

Burlington Arcade is owned by Meyer Bergman and Thor Equities, who placed it up for sale in January last year for £400 million.

“The Burlington Arcade is a historical and architectural masterpiece, and one of the most renowned retail destinations in the world,” Thor Equities chief executive Joseph Sitt commented at the time.

“With its magnificent redesign and new luxury tenants, the property will remain a treasured London destination for generations to come.”
