Mulberry has said that non-executive chairman Godfrey Davis will be stepping down from the luxury retailer’s board later next month.

Set to exit his role on 30 September, he will be succeeded as chairman by Mulberry non-executive director Chris Roberts.

Davis first came aboard the luxury retailer in 1987 as finance director before becoming chief executive and then chairman.

In a statement, Mulberry said that Davis will remain “associated with the business as life president in a non-board role” so it can continue to benefit from his experience.
