Ebay has appointed its former head of pricing and promotions Nikin Patel as its new director of consumer-to-consumer selling.
The online giant is continuing its push to simplify the user experience and make it easier for users to sell to each other, a task which Patel will now be responsible for.
This comes ahead of the launch of new updates to Ebay’s native apps, which will reportedly allow users to post items in under a minute.
Patel, who has led a 15-year long career in global operations roles, including with tech giants Sky and Virgin Media, will report directly to Ebay UK’s senior director of operations Paolo Levoni.
“This is a hugely important role at Ebay,” Levoni said.
“We pretty much invented consumer-to consumer selling at distance, online and at scale. And it’s an area we continue to invest and innovate in.
“With his proven track record in pricing and promotions and his personal passion for consumer selling, Nikin is now focused on helping even more Brits make room or make money by selling on Ebay.”
