Quiz launches menswear for the first time

Quiz has launched its first ever menswear range alongside a standalone ecommerce website as the fashion retailer seeks to expand its offering.

The retailer will launch Quizman as a trial, with scope to expanding the menswear collection if the experiment is successful.

Quizman will be independent from Quiz, complete with its own website and social channels. Its maiden capsule collection will include shirts, blazers, trousers, denim and smart outfits, all overseen by former Slaters buyer Harry Butt.

“The QUIZ brand is increasingly recognised as a leading omni-channel destination for the latest looks at fantastic value prices,” chief commercial officer Sheraz Ramzan said.

“As the brand grows in awareness, we are exploring extending our offer to fashion conscious men with the exciting launch of this capsule collection aimed at men who want a tailored look for any occasion, whether that’s an important work meeting, a day at the races, a party or a night out. We look forward to seeing the reaction to this exciting trial.”

This follows reports that Quiz’s total sales jumped 30 per cent in the year to March 31, in the fast fashion houses first full year of sales since it went public.

This was largely driven by a huge increase in online sales, rising 158 per cent to £30.6 million. Quiz attributed this substantial jump to increased marketing spend over the year as well as strong sales through third-party websites.
