Asos on the hunt for new chairman

Asos is reportedly in the process of interviewing candidates to replace its chairman Brian McBride, who is poised to step down after nearly six years in the position.

According to Sky News, the online fashion retailer has been fielding candidates for some time already via headhunting firm Russel Reynolds and once a new chairman is appointed, it’s expected to lead to a shake-up of the leadership team.

Prior to Asos, McBride was chief executive of Amazon’s UK operations and he is also currently the chairman of cycling business Wiggle, on the board of online retailer AO.com and is a senior adviser to Scottish Equity Partners.
