Sosandar reports 268% rise in sales

Sosandar has enjoyed record breaking revenues and skyrocketing sales amid its full year results as it hails the success of its marketing campaigns.

In the six months to March 31, the online womenswear retailer posted a like-for-like sales rise of 268 per cent, while expecting sales for the full year to hit £1.34 million.

Gross margins for the year are expected to come in at 49.3 per cent, up from 37.8 per cent last year, thanks to increased full price sales and order quantities.

For the full year, the number of orders jumped a massive 353 per cent to 31,732, while average order prices also rose eight per cent to £94.18.

It also attracted 20,325 new customers, representing a 287 per cent increase.

“We are delighted with the progress the business has made over the year to 31 March 2018,” joint chief executives Ali Hall and Julie Lavington said.

“As a company early in its development, we are focused on increasing brand awareness and new customer acquisition and our KPIs show strong growth in these areas.”

Sosandar’s marketing campaigns throughout the year saw its Facebook followers rise 181 per cent to 37,750, while its Instagram following increased 888 per cent to 8299.

“Sosandar’s unique positioning and affordable, quality products are attracting a growing fanbase of repeat customers, as well as a plethora of celebrities and fashion influencers who choose to wear our clothes repeatedly,” the pair said.

“We are constantly refining the efficiency of our marketing spend, and beginning to benefit from improved margins as we increase our minimum order size. This momentum has continued into the new financial year, and we look forward to updating the market further at full year results.”
