Karen Millen partners with Pentland brands to drive footwear sales

Karen Millen has announced a new partnership with Pentland Brands in order to drive expansion in its footwear arm.

As part of the fashion retailer’s wider growth strategy, Karen Millen’s footwear ranges will now be sold in multi-brand shoe shops and department stores via Pentland brands, which owns brands like Kickers, Hunter and Boxfresh.

The first collection will launch in Autumn next year across both instore and online platforms.

“Customers have always loved our footwear and this partnership will enable us to offer more styles, choice and availability,” Karen Millen chief executive Beth Butterwick said.

“Pentland is the perfect partner, with a truly expert level of knowledge when it comes to footwear licensing and long-standing record of working with brands to build their global presence.”

Pentland Brands Footwear division president Richard Newcombe added: “We’re really excited to partner with the Karen Millen team as we believe there’s great potential for the brand in the footwear category.

“Our focus will be on creating exceptional footwear designs that capture the brand signature of individuality, attention to detail and quality that makes Karen Millen such an iconic womenswear brand.”
