Halfords hires Waitrose finance boss Loraine Woodhouse as new CFO

Halfords has poached Waitrose finance director Loraine Woodhouse for the role of chief financial officer.

Woodhouse, who has been with Waitrose since 2015, will succeed Jonny Mason on November 1.

Mason is departing the bicycle and car parts retailer on July 31 to take up a similar role at electricals retailer Dixons Carphone.

Woodhouse was previously acting group finance director of the John Lewis Partnership and has also held finance director roles at Hobbs, Costa Coffee and Intu.

“I am delighted that Loraine will be joining Halfords as chief financial officer and look forward to working with her,” Halfoirds’ chief executive Graham Stapleton said.

“She has extensive finance leadership within service-based retail and will be a great addition to the senior team.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Jonny Mason and to wish him every success in the future.”
