// Depop opens pop-up in Selfridges
// The pop-up will be open until October 31
// The retail space marks Depop’s first in the UK
Depop has opened a physical retail space within luxury department store Selfridges, marking its first branded pop-up store outside the US.
This follows the success of Depop’s two physical spaces in the US, in New York and Los Angeles.
The pop-up is open to customers within Selfridges’ Designer Studio until the end of October.
It will showcase different Depop sellers each week, and will be exclusive to Selfridges.
Each month, the fashion marketplace app will focus on a different aspect of fashion with sellers, workshops and other programming designed around it.
During August, Depop will experiment with the theme of entrepreneurship with the help of some of Depop’s star sellers, alongside Depop founder Simon Beckerman.
“Depop’s mission is to empower the next generation to transform fashion,” Depop chief marketing officer Peter Semple said in a statement.
“Coming together with a fashion authority like Selfridges is an exciting opportunity for members of our community to extend their reach offline and take their business to the next level.”
