Tesco online director Rimal Patel has quit to join Joules, where he will head up the lifestyle retailer’s work with third-party businesses in the UK and overseas.
Patel was named as Joules’ new wholesale and partnerships director, effective from August 16.
Joules said he would be “responsible for strengthening and driving Joules’ partnerships both in the UK and target international markets”.

Patel’s new role at Joules is a board-level position and he will report directly to chief executive Nick Jones.
Patel had been with Tesco for nine years.
He previously held senior roles at The Very Group and John Lewis.
Patel’s exit comes after Amazon has poached Tesco veteran Tony Hoggett to run its international stores division, and after Uber Eats appointed Tesco’s online trading director Eve Henrikson to drive its EMEA business.
