Crew Clothing has revealed a new partnership with Thrift+, the second-hand clothing resale platform, as it commits to sustainability.

The Thrift+ service will be available to Crew Clothing customers on June 8, in line with World Oceans Day.

Thrift+ facilitates a streamlined circular shopping solution for brands and encourages customers to send in pre-loved clothing, shoes and accessories via a free returns service or a convenient home collection for an additional small fee.

Items are resold on the Thrift+ platform in return for credits which can be donated to a charity of choice, used on second-hand clothes on the Thrift+ website or spent on new ones from a number of high street retailers.

“We design clothes to last a lifetime so it felt like a natural progression for the brand to partner with Thrift+, one of the most innovative circularity solutions in the industry,” Crew Clothing brand director, Georgina Clark said.

“The second-hand clothing market is growing rapidly and through our support for the platform, we hope to see many of our heritage styles go on to be treasured all over again with Thrift+ customers.”

Thrift+ founder, Joe Metcalfe added: “World Oceans Day is a great moment for the launch of this partnership which signals Crew’s commitment to protecting the environment.

“Seeing such a well-loved brand make strides towards circularity is very exciting, and we at Thrift+ look forward to working with Crew to get more clothes back into circulation, fueling fashion resale.”
