// eBay has teamed up with London chicken shop Morley’s to open a eBay x Morley’s pop up Sneaker store this weekend
// Visitors will be able to get their hand on the sneakers at their original prices through an online and in-store raffle
EBay has partnered with iconic London-based Morley’s chicken shop to open a pop-up store for sneakerheads, giving them the chance to buy rare retro trainers.
Through a £1 charity raffle on eBay, people can throw their hat into the ring to purchase their sneakers of choice for the original retail price, when the model first launched; whether that was 1985, 1990 or 2006.
eBay UK said it has “seen first-hand the significant increase in demand for sought after sneakers”, adding that OG Drops is set to skip the overpriced resell market and backdooring, and help hyped sneakers make their way back onto people’s feet:
eBay UK Sneaker Category Manager Wahaaj Shabbir said: “The great thing about drops is being able to actually get your hands on a pair of sneakers, wear them and show them off. But now that’s become rare! OG Drops resets the sneakers’ value back to their original retail price and means everyone can get in on the action. Whether it’s through the on-site or at our Store at Morley’s, we are encouraging everyone who cops an OG drop at an OG price to give them some love on feet”
