Amazon Fresh stores offer 25% off as part of Prime Day promotions

// Amazon’s Prime Day to return on July 12 and 13 for UK shoppers
// Amazon Fresh stores have been offering all Prime members a 25% discount on their in-store shop from 21 June to 13 July

Amazon Fresh stores are offering Prime members a 25% discount on their in-store shop as part of its Prime Day extravaganza.

The online giant’s Prime Day promotional event returns to the UK on the 12 and 13 July, however, the Amazon Fresh discount has been running from 21 June. It will end on 13 July.

All 19 Amazon Fresh stores – the most recent of which opened in Sevenoaks last month – are running the promotion.

The discount covers everything sold in store – including “an array of fresh flowers and their daily newspaper” – excluding only beers, wines and spirits and infant formula.

The 25% discount applies to every time a Prime member shops in the stores for the duration of the promotion.

Across the Amazon site, brands such as Philips, Bosch, Elemis, Rimmel, Urban Decay, Samsung, Shark and Puma will be included in Prime Day deals.

Although the event runs on 12 and 13 July, Amazon has launched early deals form 21 June, which include up to 50% of top brands.

From this week, the online retailer will be offering up to 60% off selected Amazon devices such as the Echo Dot 3rd and 4th Generation, Echo Show 5 and Ring Home Security.

The retailer is also encouraging customers to shop with small businesses throughout Prime Day. Amazon has vowed to give customers the chance to win prizes when shopping with small businesses through its ‘Win Big by Supporting Small’ initiative.

For every £1 spent with small businesses on its platform, Amazon is giving shoppers entry into a sweepstake, where they have a chance to win Amazon Gift Cards worth up to £5,000.

The retailer has made it easier to shop from small businesses on its website by introducing a ‘Small Business Badge’ so customers can identify products from artisan sellers.

Amazon UK country manager John Boumphrey said: “Our Prime members across the UK will find the widest selection and best deals yet this Prime Day.

“From thousands of local British small businesses our members love, to the national brands and popular products they trust, Prime Day will help people save money, have fun, and also shop small. But that’s not all – don’t forget, Amazon donates to the charity of each customers’ choice when they shop with AmazonSmile.”
