Retailers sell out of England women’s kit ahead of Euros final

// Retailers including the official England store, Nike, JD Sports, Sports Direct and Asos now only have limited sizes left
// The shortage comes despite the FA ordering three times more stock than previous kit launches

Retailers are running out of England women’s football shirts ahead of the Euro final against Germany this Sunday.

Both the official England online store and kit supplier Nike only have an extra small women’s shirt size available, while JD Sports is completely sold out of female adult sizes.

Sports Direct did not have any female shirts for sale and the only kids size available was age 7 to 8.

Meanwhile, Asos had just an extra small and small female size left.

Asos head of sportswear Timothy Williams told City Am. “We have seen extraordinary demand for and sales of the England Women’s Euro 22 home jersey due to the Lionesses’ fantastic performances. We wish the squad all the best for the final on Sunday.”

The England women’s team has captivated the UK public with their rout to the final of the euros, including a scintillating 4-0 victory over Sweden in the semi-final.

The phenomenal sales will bolster sportswear retailers, who will hope the England men can replicate the success of the female team later this year when the World Cup kicks off in Qatar.
