Prior to this, Hughes was trading director and buying and design director at Topshop/Topman. He has also held senior roles at Matalan.
The news of his departure comes as Boohoo Group moves Dorothy Perkins, Burton and Wallis onto the Debenhams marketplace, Drapers reported.
The three brands will still keep their individual websites. Warehouse and Nasty Gal teams are also consolidating.
The decision comes after Boohoo Group trialled merging the Misspap team with the Boohoo brand, when it purchased the brand for an undisclosed sum in 2019.
