// Mecklenburgh, who succeeded Matt Dunn, is departing to join Softcat

Asos’s interim chief financial officer Katy Mecklenburgh will be leaving the business following her six-month notice period.

Mecklenburgh, who will leave the online fashion giant in May 2023, is set to join London-listed IT group Softcat.

The outgoing interim chief had only held the role since the end of October, when COO and CFO Matt Dunn stepped down.

Before joining Asos in 2021, Mecklenburgh served as group financial controller at British services group Inchcape, which has an annual turnover of around £8bn.

Asos said it “continues its process to appoint a new CFO” and the news comes after the business revealed it would be cutting 100 head office jobs as part of a cost-saving 12-month plan last month.

The redundancies came weeks after Asos revealed it had swung into the red, making an operating loss of almost £10 million in its year to 31 August.

Asos’ new chief executive José Antonio Ramos Calamonte promised “decisive, short-term operational measures to simplify the business, alongside steps to unlock longer-term sustainable growth”.
