Dune sets eyes on further international expansion

Dune has its eyes on international expansion as sales across other nations now represent 26% of the total.

With 131 franchise stores and 48 European stores and concessions, the British retailer is witnessing growth in new and existing markets.

Dune’s recent US collaboration online with Nordstrom and Dillard’s has proved a success, as the retailer said its encouraging start in the US highlights the opportunity for the brand to expand in other countries.

Its major franchise market is the Middle East, where the brand has been trading for 15 years. It now has 65 stores in the region and there are plans for a further 10 stores in the coming year, with a particular emphasis on Saudi Arabia.

The first Dune accessories only store is set to open in the next two months in Riyadh.

Dune also expects to open more stores in Pakistan and India this year.

Last year, it opened its first franchise store in Lagos, Nigeria. The store has exceeded its budget by more than 50%. Four more stores are planned this year.
