Burberry has hired McLaren Group finance boss Kate Ferry as its new chief financial officer and executive director.
Ferry will join the luxury group in September and will succeed chief financial and operating officer Julie Brown.
Brown is stepping down from her role on 1 April after more than six years.
Prior to her role at McLaren, Ferry was the group CFO of TalkTalk from 2017 to 2021. She is currently an independent non-executive director of Greggs.

Senior vice president of specialist finance and projects Ian Brimicombe has been appointed interim CFO until Ferry’s arrival.
Burberry chief executive Jonathan Akeroyd said: “Kate has extensive experience of public markets, business transformation and development and an excellent understanding of the luxury industry.
“She is a strong addition to our leadership team and I am excited about her joining to support this next phase of Burberry’s development.”
