M&S boosts funding into Nobody’s Child

// M&S increases its funding into Nobody’s Child to help accelerate the brand’s growth
// The cash will be used to purchase more stock to cover increased customer demand as well as support the brand’s expansion plans

M&S has injected further funding into Nobody’s Child to help boost the brand’s continued growth.

The retailer, which owns a 27% stake in the brand, said the funding comes at a pivotal trading period for Nobody’s Child’s after its sales quadrupled over the past two years.

The funding, understood to be in the single-digit millions, will allow the fashion brand to buy more stock to cover increased customer demand as well as support its expansion plans into multiple markets including the US, Europe and United Arab Emirates.

Nobody’s Child launched on M&S.com in 2020 as part of the retailer’s third-party brands strategy and has since become its top performing partner.

M&S managing director of clothing and home Richard Price said: “This season, it seems that everyone is talking about Nobody’s Child.

“As an important part of the M&S family, we’re delighted to be able to support the brand with additional funding to unlock even more potential as they continue to grow.

Our third-party brands are key to creating an M&S reshaped for growth and at the heart of this, is finding the right partners.

Earlier this year, M&S opened seasonal Nobody’s Child pop-ups in 40 of its stores across the UK.
