Amazon launches app integration with Shopify to help sellers enable Buy with Prime

Amazon has unveiled a new app collaboration designed to help US-based merchants more easily enable Buy with Prime on Shopify.

Under the Buy with Prime app for Shopify, Prime members can select “Buy with Prime” on a product’s detail page before placing their order in Shopify’s checkout.

The feature gives Prime members “fast, free delivery and easy returns” according to the online retailer.

The app is being rolled out as invite-only to select Shopify sellers today, and will be made available to all US-based Shopify merchants who already use or want to use Amazon’s fulfillment network by the end of next month.

Shopify merchants previously had to manage Buy with Prime separately from Shopify, but can now see automatically synced orders, promotions, catalog listings, and taxes within the platform.

Merchants can select items from their Amazon inventory to add to their Buy with Prime product catalogue on Shopify.

Earlier this month, Amazon sparked backlash when it revealed it would start charging its Prime members for same-day delivery on some orders from September.
