The owner of M&Co and Yours Clothing AK Retail Holdings has acquired plus size clothing retailer Evans for an undisclosed sum as the company looks to expand its brand portfolio.
The acquisition includes the brand name along with the intellectual property and stock. AK said the move perfectly aligns with its mission to cater to a diverse range of customers.
Founder Andrew Killingsworth said: “We are absolutely thrilled to acquire Evans and build upon this legacy, taking the brand to even greater heights with fresh opportunities and enhanced offerings to Evans customers.”

AK Retail Holdings snapped up the brand and intellectual property of M&Co out of administration at the start of the year.
In June the business relaunched the M&Co website under its ownership, which displays the first look at the value retailer’s expanded womenswear collections which include both petite and plus sizes.
“The website has undergone a comprehensive transformation, reinvigorating its online presence to meet the evolving needs and expectations of its valued customers,” the business said in a statement.
