Frasers Group submits plans for new HQ

Frasers Group has submitted a planning application to set up a new global HQ at Ansty in Rugby, Warwickshire.

The move will help to bolster its elevation strategy and support its growth ambitions, the retail group said.

The campus is set to include a logistics space, offices, R&D retail, a hotel and leisure facilities, such as a gym and bookable courts, Business Live reported.

If approved, the global headquarters is expected to create 7,500 jobs and inject more than £300m to the area.

The group’s current headquarters are located 50 miles down the road in Shirebrook, Derbyshire.

“We have worked closely with local partners to develop proposals for a global headquarters campus at Ansty,” a spokesperson said.

“This would deliver a well-located, world-class platform to further bolster our elevation strategy, sector-leading ecosystem and growth ambitions.”

Frasers Group revealed it was looking at moving its Midlands base in October last year to help accelerate its growth.

The group axed 200 roles at its head offices in Shirebrook and London back in June as part of a streamlining process following a recent acquisition spree.
