Pets at Home crowned ‘best place to work’ in UK retail

Pets at Home has been named the “best place to work” across the UK retail industry in a new poll.

The pet care company came first place in digital platform WorkL’s recent “Happy at Work” survey, carried out in partnership with Retail Week.

The poll looked at workers’ happiness levels over a number of categories, including empowerment, pride, satisfaction, reward and recognition, wellbeing, and information sharing.

Staff members scored Pets at Home highly across each category, according to the business.

Pets at Home CEO Lyssa McGowan said: “We are thrilled that Pets at Home has been named the Best Place to Work in the UK Retail Sector.

“This is testament to our incredible teams and their unwavering dedication to serve a nation of pet lovers”.

The news follows Pets at Home posting a jump in its first quarter sales in August, as shoppers spent more on their furry friends despite the cost-of-living crisis.
