Frasers Group to take over Peterborough John Lewis site

Frasers Group has signed to take over the former John Lewis site at Queensgate shopping centre, Peterborough.

The group will open doors to a Frasers and Sports Direct in the 92,500 sq ft space.

The Frasers concept store will house brands across men’s, women’s, kidswear, homeware and beauty, alongside a 30,000 sq ft Sports Direct.

Meanwhile, the sports destination will feature the world’s biggest sports and leisure brands, according to the retailer, as well as brands from the group including USC, Jack Wills and GAME.

A spokesperson for Frasers Group said: “We are pleased to confirm that we will be opening a new concept Frasers store in Peterborough’s Queensgate Shopping Centre, offering customers the world’s most aspirational brands, as well as a dynamic beauty hall.

“A 30,000 sq. ft Sports Direct store will also open, featuring a USC, Jack Wills and GAME.”

They added: “We are big believers in physical retail and these openings mark an exciting time for the group as we continue to expand our store portfolio across the UK and Europe.”

Frasers Group is due to take access to the space in 2025, following the completion of landlord works.
