Footwear brand Footasylum has opened a new store in Glasgow today (12 March).

The new 10,305 sq ft store will be located in the Silverburn shopping centre and will create 29 new jobs for the area.

According to the business, the opening “strengthens the brand’s presence” in the Scottish city and builds upon the performance of its former Silverburn store and existing locations across the city.

Shannon Osman, head of retail at Footasylum said, “Glasgow has always delivered for us, and returning to Silverburn was a clear priority. This new store brings us back stronger in a location that reflects the ambition of the brand.

“As we expand across the UK and internationally, investing in high-performing destinations like Silverburn remains central to our growth. We look forward to welcoming both new and returning customers to our new state-of-the-art store.”

It will offer shoppers a curated selection of new and exclusive product lines, stocking a variety of third-party brands and Footasylum exclusive labels, including Monterrain, Forena, Dripmade and Epic Kind.

The new store follows other recent openings in Darlington, Bromborough and Bradford.

Footasylum has also strengthened its international presence, having signed a distribution agreement with MAD agency across the DACH region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It has also partnered with Apparel Group to establish stores across the Gulf Cooperation Council region, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.
