Aldi has invested an additional £100 million to reduce the price of 330 products, as it aims to help support families through the school holidays.

The supermarket’s customers can now shop lower prices across everyday essentials, including fresh and frozen food, cupboard staples, household essentials and personal care products, Aldi said.

The latest cuts mean that Aldi has reduced the price of over 1,000 products so far this year. This represents a total investment of £300 million in “keeping grocery bills as low as possible”.

Shoppers can save 80p on selected British steaks, including Aldi’s 21-day matured sirloin steak (now £4.49) and 21-day matured ribeye steak (now £4.59).

Price reductions have also been made across fruit and vegetables, including 40p off Aldi’s 4-pack nectarines and 22p off its honeydew melons.

Aldi’s specially selected range of Cheddar cheeses now cost £2.99, saving shoppers 40p.

Additionally, customers can save 30p on everyday favourites such as diced chicken breast (now £3.99) and filled pasta (now £2.19).

Aldi’s Lacura SPF50+ sensitive lotion also now costs £2.99, reduced from £3.29.

Aldi UK chief commercial officer Julie Ashfield said: “It’s never been more important that everyday grocery essentials and family favourites remain affordable.

“We’re committed to keeping prices low on popular products because we know it can make a real difference, helping families to make the most of the summer.”
