Dr Martens has appointed former Yum! Brands executive Kate Vacovec as its new global commercial finance director.
Vacovec joins the footwear retailer in October after almost 15 years at Yum! Brands, the owner of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
Most recently, she served as CFO of Pizza Hut’s international operating markets and has held a range of senior finance and broader commercial roles across the business.
Dr Martens said Vacovec brings extensive experience in strategy, financial planning, business analysis and business development across Asia, Europe and North America, having worked in the US, Thailand and the UK.
In her new role, she will lead Dr Martens’ global commercial finance team and report to chief financial officer Giles Wilson.
She will also work closely with chief commercial officer Mike Stopforth, Americas president Paul Zadoff and the retailer’s market general managers as it looks to drive its commercial strategy across its international markets.
Vacovec will also join Dr Martens’ leadership team.
