Liberty has unveiled its 2026 Christmas campaign, The Liberty Christmas Chronicles, transforming its London flagship with a series of festive window displays celebrating the rituals of the season.

Launched on 5 November, the campaign follows the journey of Christmas, from the first festive preparations and decorating the tree to travelling home, gathering with family and friends and winding down after the celebrations.

The story unfolds across six chapters: The Great Preparation, The Get Ready Ritual, The Journey, The Gathering, The Pause and …And So to Bed. Each explores a different moment of the festive period, with Liberty’s windows bringing the narrative to life through its distinctive visual storytelling and product displays.

Running across the store, advertising film and digital channels, the campaign places gifting at its centre, showcasing products from across the department store’s fashion, beauty, jewellery and home collections.

Liberty has also introduced a new Gifting Curator service for the first time. Customers can book one-to-one appointments with the retailer’s gift experts, who will help them navigate its product ranges and find personalised presents.

The experience is complemented by a new Christmas Curator space, featuring a dedicated gift-wrapping pop-up from Roxy Wraps, alongside festive gifting installations throughout the store.

Meanwhile, the retailer’s iconic central atrium has been transformed by fragrance brand Diptyque, which has created an Enchanted Forest installation to showcase its 2026 holiday collection.

The centrepiece is a five-metre wooden pine tree created in collaboration with artist Jean-Simon Roch, featuring a sweeping red scarf, oversized baubles and a playful slide winding around its branches. The installation will remain in place until 3 January 2027.

Lydia King, managing director of retail at Liberty, said the campaign celebrates the anticipation, joy and quieter moments surrounding Christmas, while making the discovery of a meaningful gift part of the experience.

The campaign reinforces Liberty’s positioning as a festive shopping destination, using experiential retail, visual merchandising and personalised services to encourage customers to visit its flagship beyond the traditional Christmas shopping trip.

It also follows the launch of its advent calendar, which was introduced with the help of British actress Helena Bonham Carter. She was introduced as its ‘Head of the Extraordinary’ in September as it expanded its campaign beyond a traditional product launch.
