Ben Sherman has announced plans to continue its worldwide expansion and open outlets in China.

The iconic British menswear brand has revealed it would open two new stores in Shanghai, which will be its first venture into China.

Shanghai is fast becoming the go-to place for fashion in Asia, as it holds the world‘s busiest port and is a major global financial centre.

Its 24 million residents (roughly three times that of London) are increasingly adopting western culture and fashion, making it a prime location for ambitious global expansion.

“We are honored to launch Ben Sherman in both Sogo and Hopson locations,” said Stanley Chou, Groupé GM at MRH Sparotica Groupé, overseeing Ben Sherman China.

“These distinct retail destinations are prime for Ben Sherman, with an influential core of loyal millennial consumers.

“Sogo is amongst the Top 5 department stores in Mainland China and our ability to open our first store here speaks volumes about the brand’s history and credibility in the global market.”

Sogo, where one of the two new stores will open its doors will is home to China‘s equivalent to London’s Oxford St, boasting the most influential fashion real estate in Asia.
