Morrisons spreads the love this Valentine’s with thousands of acts of kindness

Morrisons is spreading the love in local communities across the UK this Valentine’s Day by carrying out thousands of acts of kindness.

These include red roses and chocolates being given away in local communities, treating elderly couples in care homes to a Valentine’s meal for two and allowing customers to nominate people to receive Valentine’s hampers.

After spending Valentine’s Day 2021 in lockdown, this year’s activities aim to bring a smile to people’s faces and spread kindness around the community.

The acts of kindness will begin on 11th and run until 14th February with a Community Champion from every Morrisons store heading into their local community each day to play Cupid and deliver the acts.

The activity will get underway with Valentine’s Day treats being handed out in local communities.

Rebecca Singleton, Community Director at Morrisons, said: “We want to make this Valentine’s Day extra special after it couldn’t be celebrated as usual last year. We believe that small acts of kindness can make a big difference to someone’s day, and so our Community Champions are becoming Cupid Champions to spread happiness across the UK and celebrate the occasion.”

As part of its Valentine’s Day celebrations, Morrisons has also unveiled its The Best Dine in For Two Meal Deal where customers can get a three-course dining experience, including starters, mains, two sides, dessert and wine, for £15.

Shoppers purchasing the deal can make a saving of over 50% compared to buying the most expensive items separately.
