Bodycare is returning to bricks-and-mortar retail after securing leases for six new stores, its first physical sites since the value health and beauty chain was acquired out of administration in October 2025.
The new locations are at Merry Hill in Dudley, Derbion in Derby, The Moor in Sheffield, Highcross in Leicester, The Mall in Blackburn and St Johns in Leeds.
The retailer said the sites were chosen because of their strong historic sales performance under previous ownership.
They will open under a new ‘Bodycare Studio’ format designed to drive product discovery and repeat visits.
According to Newmark, which is acting as sole adviser, the first 25 stores will use the new format, which includes in-store demonstration zones, feature screens, live broadcast studios and creator spaces as part of a wider digital-first strategy.
Bodycare is planning a further 19 openings by the end of 2026, with a longer-term ambition to build a national estate of more than 200 stores.
The new phase follows the October 2025 acquisition of Bodycare’s brand and intellectual property by an investor group led by former The Body Shop chief executive Charles Denton, after the business fell into administration and shut all 147 stores.
At the time, the new owners said they were targeting an initial reopening wave of around 30 to 50 stores in early 2026.
David Stern, managing director at Bodycare, said the business had reworked both its store experience and digital presence since the acquisition and was now preparing to welcome customers back.
