Turnover of £612.7 million was recorded in 2019, a 25 per cent increase from £490.8 million the previous year, while pre-tax profit grew to £65.2 million from £37.2 million.

The West Retail Group is led by managing director Mark Pullan and owned by Malcolm Healey through his private equity company Vida Capital Partners.

In June, the company resumed its expansion programme, which had been paused during the Covid-19 lockdown, with the opening of its 100th showroom targeted later this year.

Meanwhile, turnover at Howden-based Ebuyer was £190.5 million in 2019, compared to £212.2 million the year before.
