Wren Kitchens has said it will inject £120 million into a new 910,000sq ft facility at its Barton-under-Humber headquarters as part of an investment program to create 1200 new jobs.
The north Lincolnshire head office currently employs 1500 people, and the new facility is expected to double the number of staff, with new roles in manufacturing, IT development, engineering, customer service and product development.
Meanwhile, 1000 staff members work at Wren Kitchen’s Scunthorpe, Howden and Hull sites.
“This project will be the largest single investment in Wren’s history,” Wren Kitchens managing director Mark Pullan said.
“The new factory demonstrates our commitment to manufacturing in the UK and particularly the Humber region.
“We believe that continual re-investment in our business is essential to maintaining our current growth rate and, subject to receiving planning approval, the project will be funded internally,” he said.
